@philscomputerlb I've now confirmed it's adjustable with help from a few lovely people. The big one is that someone found this picture showing an alternative regulator used on the same board type and it's L1084 (adjustable)

If anyone out there has one of these Soyo Soyo SY-6VBA133 Slot 1 motherboards, could you take a photo of this voltage regulator please, I need to replace mine as it's been cut off. I've seen one with a AMS1084CT, but they used alternatives, need to identify the right one. Cheers

@Gammitin That diagram is useful. If there are two resistors nearby that are connected like in the diagram, then it's the adjustable one....

@mdscntstmgm Yea we need 98 and 40/50 series drivers.

@philscomputerlb Now I don't know about what drivers everyone wants to use, but drivers in the 70s tend to be good in terms of compatibility and don't have as much driver overhead as later ones, making them great for W98 hardware, too, although I prefer 45.23 whenever that works.

@philscomputerlb remember your Quadro FX 1300 video? Yesterday a friend of mine converted his Quadro FX 1300 to a Geforce PCX 5900 with a very easy hardware mod, and in the process we found out that you were using a driver that is known to cause issues, and that'S why 1/2

@philscomputerlb have you tried using modern Bluetooth TWS headsets with old computers (i.e. not supporting usb bt dongles)? Are there any low latency solutions on the market?

@Gammitin Nice card historically, but fragile and need shim removed, cooling maintained. For 98 there are better options, for XP there are better options. So yea...

Good news again 😱 second card Audigy SB0230 working. BUT! I dont have any original driver, dont know which one need. I googled some info and is maybe OEM Gateway Computers card. Downloaded many standard ISO CD drivers and none working.

Anyone bought old games from @ZOOMPlatform ? I'm impressed. Clear changelog, wrapper DLLs given proper source and credit, Expendable parched for fast CPUs, only digital release of Incoming with the expansion CD. Nice!

@hajek_jaromir @ZOOMPlatform Of course not, they sell games for modern OS/users. You need to install it on modern PC and copy folder onto retro PC.
