x.com/shukan_bunshun…

Absolute humiliation for the White House. A prominent US Senator reveals the Trump administration completely dismantled the State Department, replacing expert diplomats with two unqualified real estate developers. Their arrogant amateur diplomacy has yielded absolutely nothing.

BREAKING: Appeals court REJECTS Donald Trump’s latest escape attempt in E. Jean Carroll case—$83 million verdict holds. Donald Trump just lost another round in his years-long attempt to avoid paying $83 million to the woman a jury found he sexually abused and defamed. The Second Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday refused Trump's request to have its full panel rehear his challenge to E. Jean Carroll's defamation verdict. A three-judge panel had already upheld the $83.3 million judgment in September. The full court declining to reconsider it means Trump's next stop is the Supreme Court — the one he stacked with three of his own appointees. The court's message was blunt. Judge Denny Chin wrote that Trump's attempt to substitute the United States government as the defendant — essentially asking taxpayers to pay his defamation bill — was raised "fifteen months after trial and the entry of judgment against him." "No other defendant," the judge wrote, "would be permitted" to do this. No other defendant. A phrase that keeps applying to a man who keeps insisting the rules don't apply to him. Let's review what the juries actually found. In 2023, a federal jury concluded Trump sexually abused Carroll in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the 1990s and defamed her when he denied it — awarding her $5 million. In 2024, a separate jury found Trump defamed Carroll again with statements he made in 2019, awarding her $83.3 million after concluding those statements caused her to be harassed, humiliated, subjected to death threats, and left fearing for her physical safety for years. Two juries. Two verdicts. Over $88 million in total judgments. Every appellate court that has considered the case has upheld the findings. Trump's legal team responded by calling Carroll's allegations "Hoaxes" and "false claims" and declaring that "the American people stand with President Trump in demanding an end to the unlawful, radical weaponization of our justice system." The American people who served on those two juries apparently did not get that memo. Trump has posted a $92 million bond to delay collection while he appeals. He will now likely ask the Supreme Court to save him from the consequences of the crimes that two separate juries concluded he committed. Meanwhile, E. Jean Carroll has been waiting for justice since 2019. She's still waiting. Please like and share this article if you believe a man found liable for sexual abuse should have to pay what the jury awarded — regardless of what office he holds.

🇯🇵 Japanese police in full riot gear clash with anti-war protesters in Tokyo. Same Japan that lectures the world about democracy. While the Emperor attended a ceremony, police were pushing, shoving, and containing protesters near Kudanshita. Red flags. Banners against remilitarization. Against revising Article 9. Tens of thousands have protested in recent weeks. The government responds with riot police. Not dialogue. Not compromise. Democracy includes the right to dissent. Freedom includes the right to protest without being treated like an enemy. Japan is not the exception. Japan is the rule. Every empire cracks down on dissent. The world sees the video. The world sees the truth.

Japan's top tier professional rugby league has introduced new rules that treat naturalized Japanese citizens who didn't grow up in Japan like they are second class citizens. To qualify as a "A1" Japanese player, a person has to have spent six of their nine years of compulsory education in Japan, or be born in Japan or have parents or grandparents born in Japan. Teams can field as many A1 players as they want. Many of the naturalized players currently in Japan will be categorized "A2" Japanese players and face limits that will reduce their opportunities to play. It is common in Japan for elite rugby high schools to recruit promising athletes from abroad, who then go on to play at university and professional levels. Others move to Japan as adults to play at the professional level. Up until now, if they met the requirements for Japanese citizenship and naturalized, they were treated the same as other Japanese players. The A2 category looks like it was created to target players like this and limit their participation in pro games. Veteran players such as Lomano Lemeki, who moved to Japan at age 19 to play professional rugby, became Japanese citizens, and later played on Japan's national team, are speaking out against the new rules.
