Episode 1 is an introduction to the series and offers context for understanding higher education’s relationship to the carceral state. @hfdavis also makes connections between formal and informal policing, a recurring theme throughout this season. #policefreecampus

Hosted by @hfdavis, each episode brings together expert analyses and data to confront common myths about the institution of policing, on campus and beyond. This includes the role colleges play in creating the socioeconomic conditions that necessitate policing.

Building on the work initiated by the @S4BLCollective , which introduced the #PoliceFreeCampus hashtag and campaign in 2020, this podcast exists within a constellation and along a continuum of abolitionist study and struggle for a police-free world.
