@McAllisterBruce It wasn't JUST that you advocated for physical violence against a young Albertan, it was ALSO that you cut his mic--effectively preventing him from exercising his democratic right to free speech. What are these panels for if not dialogue?

Last night, while moderating the AB Next panel, I made an inappropriate remark to a participant. I regret saying it and I apologize. I’m committed to ensuring these conversations remain respectful and constructive.

@russellcrowe A lot of people are saying you are in the rockies, but -- no joke -- I'm pretty certain that's the view of Everest from Kathmandu.

It is with humility and appreciation that I have accepted Damien Kurek’s offer to resign his seat in Battle River-Crowfoot so that I can work to earn the support of citizens there to serve them in Parliament. Damien’s selfless act to step aside temporarily as a Member of Parliament shows his commitment to change and restoring Canada’s promise. I will work to earn the trust of the good people of Battle River-Crowfoot and I will continue to hold the Liberal minority government to account until the next federal election, when we will bring real change to all Canadians.

"Could we learn to move through time as an octopus moves through space?" Fascinating piece on time, language, and octopuses - but no mention of the (wonderful) film Arrival? In @aeonmag aeon.co/essays/can-the…?

Let’s talk about the facts. Not conspiracies, not false myths spread on social media – facts. Danielle Smith’s policy targeting trans and gender-diverse youth is an attack on a vulnerable group of youth and on thousands of Albertans. It is a massive overstep into private health care decisions. And it is an attack on the fundamental education rights of kids in our province. But don’t take it from me: listen to the experts and allies in our video. Listen to the people with real, lived experiences. Share this video and information with your friends and help combat the misinformation being spread by the Alberta government. Sign our petition and tell Danielle Smith to stop pursuing these proposed changes. Tell her that Albertans believe all human rights must be protected. albertandpcaucus.ca/take-action/tr… #ableg #alberta #transrightsarehumanrights

What can architecture say about our inner worlds? For Carl Jung, architecture was a tool to represent the psyche @posts_modern bit.ly/3whqZ32

@LukaszukAB @ABDanielleSmith It would also mean that children, even with parental consent and under DR supervision, would not be allowed to receive life-saving medical treatments like chemo to treat cancer if it had any risk of affecting their future "reproductive potential", which is clearly absurd.

.@ABDanielleSmith In your interview on Power & Politics you argued that children, even with parental consent, must not be allowed to make life altering decisions. In that case, should children be allowed to discontinue their education prior to 18 with parental consent? #ableg

We describe trusted friends as ‘close’ and others as ‘distant’. There is even something architectural about the way we speak of ‘setting boundaries’. Why do we use spatial and architectural metaphors to describe so many of our human relationships? @posts_modern ...

@karlhjort_ It's important to catch ourselves reflexively pathologizing gay men's psyches. If a gay man has the same steady gym routine that many straight men do, but we interpret only the gay man's motivations to be rooted in body dysmorphia/sex, I struggle to see how that's fair.

I’m currently writing an article about body image in the gay community. do you think it is common for gay men to go to the gym to genuinely improve their health, fitness etc. or is it more to gain that ideal muscular, sexualised body that is so desired in the gay community?
