@MagicMallokay It’s one of those i understand criticisms but i still want to experience! As well as it’s not the game that me playing supports something morally questionable each time i open it. I’ll be better about it! Especially because there’s always something new to learn!

Every game has an audience and a purpose, and likewise will be enjoyed by someone. It's why I talk quite frequently about them and try to vary what I play bc so many are good. Even bad games are good or can be a great time. Talk about what you love about the game, what it does well, or meet them halfway and point out flaws too. I usually fight it with spite "I guess we'll suffer through this together >:) " or "you must not hate it that much if you're watching me play it." But real talk, play what you enjoy. Be passionate about it. The right audience will show up, the wrong ones will filter themselves.

I think one of the reasons im more slow to certain games is when people make me feel bad for playing them. I'm gonna be better about setting that boundary but hearing "oh this game..." every other time I play it is annoying

Do you want real advice on how to grow as a content creator? It's honestly the advice that most people don't take seriously enough & it's really the most important. [You need to research & be constant consistency] You can't just keep doing the same thing over & over again but hoping for a different result: ✦ You must research what has worked for others creators; take notes, & apply what you think would be best for your own content. Clearly they are doing something right, even if not everything they do would apply to you! Learn from other people's journeys! ✦ Research what the algos on different social media platforms like & don't like; You don't have to play the algo game entirely but you do need to at least know the rules! It sucks to have to think about, but if you ignore it completely you are basically making it harder for your content to be seen. [Example, posting a clip with a lot of cursing on YouTube is probably gonna get the content ignored by the algo, etc.] ✦ Be okay with trying a new type of content, new editing style or whatever; but try it more than just 1 time. Try it for like... 3 months. If after 3 months of constantly sharing this new type of content, and you aren't seeing results, try something else or rework the idea! If you only do something once and it fails, that's not enough data to really know if it was a "bad idea" or if it just was an unlucky post. Also, of course if you post or stream at a consistent AND constant rate, you will see growth: ✦ Streaming once a week is not enough, posting a video to YouTube once every 4 months is not enough. It just really isn't enough if you want to one day be considered a full time CONTENT CREATOR. A lot of growing as a content creator isn't just about making stuff; you need to make sure you are making stuff while also promoting it, showcasing it, & marketing it well too! I'm still learning new stuff everyday myself, on both how to grow & what the best ways to do it is! but imo researching & constant consistency has made a huge difference for me over the years & has always set me apart from others. So I hope this advice will help some of you striving for the same goals! It's not easy work, & it's a lot of figuring out what works for you, but I do want to see people reach their goals, myself included! Let's make our dreams real together! Good luck! ✨

Let's talk about the reality of content creation and VTubing because I think a lot of people are being way too hard on themselves and I want to help with that but also be a little realistic as well! This industry is INCREDIBLY saturated and standing out now is so so so hard. Because of that, offline content has become incredibly important. It's not enough to be talented anymore, you need to know how to package it as well! The volume of content you put out genuinely matters! I post two shorts a day minimum and one long form video a week and I am still not where I want to be growth wise and SHOULD be putting out more to get where I want to be. And that is okay! It's not a race! But you can't compare your growth to someone who is putting out 4x the content, you're going to make yourself feel bad for no reason! If you are streaming three days a week and posting three shorts and not seeing the growth you want, you are not failing! You're doing what you can RIGHT NOW and that is okay! Nobody came out the gate with everything figured out. Every single creator you look up to started small and built up over time. You go from three shorts a week, to one a day, to two a day, and over time you're in a completely different place than when you started! You level up based on where you are at right now and that looks different for everyone! The most important thing you can do is keep evolving. Keep shifting. Keep growing. Because if you stay stagnant and expect different results, it just is not going to happen. Self reflection and self critique is incredibly important to learn and evolve in the space. And if you are out here learning to edit, learning to produce your own stuff, doing it all yourself with limited time and money, honestly? That is so impressive and you should be proud of that!! Be kind to yourself in the process and be efficient with the time you have as best you can. You aren't behind, you are so talented already so once you get that packaging all pretty, you're home free! I BELIEVE IN YOU!! ;w;
