Cancelled SKY today. Latest increase was to £108.50 just for a TV package. Sky News is unwatchable, football is akin to loose women, dramas are infested with woke virtue signalling. About 90% of channels are just fillers. They offered a reduction to £87.50. Gone after 25+ years.

A classic emblem of UK culture is the red telphone box designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in 1924. This one has been repurposed as a vertical garden and flower box!

Despair knocks you down. Respair gets you moving. Despair is the hit. Respair is the recovery. Despair sits heavy. Respair lifts quietly. Despair is the setback. Respair is the comeback. Despair is the mess. Respair is the clean-up. Don't despair, respair!

A year ago on 30/03/25 the RE community lost a dear member, Dawn Cox. So, I chat to her partner, Roy to take a look back over the last year. It is poignant that we have this chat now as we wait to see if Dawn's dream of an RE National Curriculum realised #anewdawnforre #TeamRE

RIG tube change today. Let’s just say it made its presence known on the way out - it was a bit smart! But, it was quick and it was done properly by a very capable nurse. I'm very relieved it's over as the feeding tube is the only way I can get my nutrition so it's a lifeline.

@Bobby_Seagull Loved seeing you run up Peel Hill at Easter last year. You were so kind making time for everyone there by chatting with them (me!) and cheering the others on! 🇮🇲

Maturing as a runner is when you stop on 95 minutes rather than try to go for a round 100 minutes. First Sunday long run since January. I've run twice in a week for the first time in 2026. Maybe the summer run bug is here! Thanks View Tube runners the company. #run #runner #marathontraining #runtok #runnersofinstagram

Following a serious medical incident at a neighbouring tennis club yesterday, kick-off in the match between Chard Town FC and Congresbury was delayed. A member of the tennis club suffered a cardiac arrest and is currently receiving intensive care at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton. Encouragingly, early signs are positive, and our thoughts are with them and their family. Somerset FA would like to recognise the outstanding actions of young referee Ben Houghton. He responded immediately, administering CPR before the use of a defibrillator, prior to the arrival of emergency services, including both ambulance and air ambulance crews. His quick thinking, composure and respect for the situation were truly commendable and may well have helped save a life. This incident is a powerful reminder of the vital importance of having defibrillators available at sports facilities, and ensuring individuals are confident in how to use them. Moments like this put everything into perspective.

The story of Jermain Defoe is worth reading. "I remember during my second season at Sunderland AFC, Louise Wanless, the press officer, told me one day: 'There’s a boy who wants to meet you.' She explained that Bradley Lowery had Neuroblastoma and that I was his favourite player. I was like, 'Alright, of course. No worries.' But I had no idea what he would be like. From her description, I assumed he’d be super shy and quiet. But as soon as he walked into the dressing room, he ran straight to me, jumped on my lap, and hugged me with a big smile on his face. After that first meeting, I asked Louise to put me in touch with the family so I could visit him at the hospital. At first, I went with other players, but then I started going alone. I wanted to spend as much time with him as possible. We had this natural connection, this bond. I still don’t know how to explain it. I got so used to having him at Sunderland that I really struggled after he was gone. He taught me to appreciate life and the people around me so much more. He changed me, my whole perspective."
