They should say Thank you for paying salary?
Appreciation is for favors, not for fulfilling obligations.
If you delay their salary and then add a little extra, thatโs not generosity, itโs accountability. Youโre simply correcting an inconvenience that shouldnโt have happened in the first place.

I had some bank issues, so I ended up paying my staff salaries today. None of them acknowledged or said thank you except my house cleaner. I didnโt even see it as a big deal (especially since I added a lil extra for the inconvenience),one still asked if I had increased her salary

I just saw a snake in my house. I was about to sleep when I heard a noise from the kitchen. I quickly went to check what it was, only to find a big black snake rushing into hiding as I approached.
