Lighter is one of the only things that feels even remotely worth taking a swing at right now, mostly because it’s actually new, it’s tied into something people already want, and it has a believable path to a move that can stick instead of instantly mean reverting. That said, this is probably pretty consensus at this point. Most other “alt longs” are just the same recycled pairs that have pumped, dumped, and disappointed people a dozen times. Everyone’s conditioned to treat any pop as mechanical, not the start of a real trend, so you get weaker conviction, faster profit-taking, heavier overhead supply, and way less follow-through. The bull case on a lot of these is basically, shorts get forced to cover in a thin book, and retail convinces itself that January is some kind of cheat code leading to the next smaller feedback loop starting. That being said, I have some exposure.

Here's the FDV we would expect lighter to launch at based on other perps dexes current valuations. The average is $5B however removing some outliers we get to a fair valuation of $3.3B dollars. Thats pretty much premarket prices which means my framework probably isn't too off. Anything significantly below that is a buying opportunity while anything materially above is a good selling opportunity. Now some might argue that Lighters stats could fall off a cliff post TGE but i think there will be a floor given that the dex is actually quite useful given their execution speed, liquidity and low fees. Apart from that we also got S3 of points coming. But i agree activity will still go down somewhat. Perhaps mostly on that fee side as some people will be looking to switch back from premium to free accounts. And we got that bearmarket knocking on our door as well, plus the VC overhang. All in all this means for me that $3B is probably a good area to DCA out. I will not be selling everything at once though, as $LIT could see a good pump initially. At least given the interest we saw around points with whales looking to buy as much as possible OTC. Whats your best guess? Whats your exit strategy?

The giraffe nerve doesn’t disprove design. It just proves you’re assuming you know the optimal blueprint for a multi objective biological system. And even if the routing were inefficient, pointing to one messy subsystem doesn’t answer the actual origin question - why complex, information-rich, fine-tuned life exists at all.
