🚨 People are trying to lynch me just because I disliked the new Re:Zero key visual, since I feel it doesn’t match the horror tone of Arc 6. Now people are lying about me, saying I harassed Sagawa or something. We talked in private DMs. Other people were the ones who bombarded her Twitter replies with hate, sending her 200 notifications for no reason. (Do they not know how Twitter works?) The most ridiculous part is: I defended Sagawa in every situation, even when Mushoku fans tried to lynch her over the Capella design change, and when Re:Zero fans went after her too. I defended her every time. I defended Sagawa from bait tweets saying Elsa’s S3 design and other S3 designs were terrible compared to S1. The people trying to lynch me for disliking the new key visual are the same ones who constantly trashed her or Director Shinohara 24/7 in their Discord servers. People like Ice called it “the most garbage thing ever,” then tried to act like public heroes later. It seems my tweet had some auto-translation issues. I said it’s a lower-tier Re:Zero key visual for me, not that it’s actually bad or that she’s a bad artist. I just expected the best key visual, something more artistic that fits the quality of Arc 6. Of course, it wasn’t Sagawa’s fault but White Fox’s. They forced her to draw the key visual in one day even though she’s the character designer. I’m criticizing the system, not her. I didn’t try to upset her or anything. I’m just tired of Re:Zero, a unique series, getting generic isekai-style posters with simple character shots, while other generic series get the most unique key visuals ever. I know I’m not the only one who thinks this way. I wanted to criticize it because we’ll probably get another final key visual for S4, and I don’t want another generic poster. They should work harder on it. This isn’t a message to Sagawa, it's for the people making scheduling decisions and giving staff terrible deadlines. I deeply apologize if I upset anyone; I only want the best for the series.
