Wow, Cancelo gets the start, but it’s at left-back, over Balde, not over Kounde. That’s a bit odd, especially with Balde being benched for the second game in a row. Makes you wonder if this is more about his performances than just rotation.
Other than that, I’m happy with the rest of the picks. This is the midfield I wanted, enough of the Frenkie, Olmo, Fermin trio. It’s time to give Bernal more minutes for better balance, and Lewy starting over Ferran makes complete sense like i said.
Basically, aside from the defense, this is exactly what I wanted.
