Tried Mastodon but think I'm settling on Bluesky. Find me over there until this moron opens up the tweet limits again.

The moral of the story isn't that you have to run to "the center" per se, it's that whatever you do it has to work, whether by policy appeal, shrewd messaging. or sheer force of charisma. If you're running as the winning winner who wins at a certain point that has to ring true.

A stark & eyeopening contrast: here’s a side-by-side look at Riverdale Park on a good day vs. today, when Toronto’s air quality was the worst in the world for hours. “We’ve been talking about climate change as if it’s the future. It’s now.” Full story: toronto.citynews.ca/video/2023/06/…

@GrantrGregory @kwcollins When Mark Penn slaps Harvard's name on this question using zombie Harris poll, there won't be a "don't know" option and the forced choice will be between "she rizzed him up for clout" and "livvy is the victim of woke ideology"

@kwcollins I think better to force them to take a position given the high salience of the issue (I am genuinely curious what share of American adults have heard of baby Gronk, it’s probably like 12%)

Pollsters are really missing a major dimension in American politics by not testing Baby Gronk’s fav (or evaluating to what degree voters believe livvy rizzed him up for clout)

Probably a necessary evil for DeSantis in the primary. Hard to run on electability when two-thirds of your voters (probably more in a primary) think Trump won in 2020. forbes.com/sites/alisondu…

Put it another way: hard to run "never back down" campaign vs Trump without undermining general election electability.

@McCormickJohn Hasn't MAGA Inc pivoted to anti-Biden/pro-Trump at this point?

Ronald Reagan’s “11th commandment” famously counseled Republicans not to speak ill of one another. Early 2024 GOP primary advertising suggests Donald Trump and his allies didn’t get the memo: wsj.com/articles/trump…

@moorehn If her question is why no women were dumb enough to go on that sub, she could probably answer it without dragging history into the conversation.

If your thesis is that women don't care about history, how would you explain the enormous popularity of Outlander! I once ran into a group of Outlander stand during the Scottish Day Parade here in NYC and they are mature and tremendously well-organized townandcountrymag.com/leisure/arts-a…

Nobody familiar with the story of the titans would name an ocean-going vessel after them. Awful and sad.
