@micah_erfan How about you ask people from actual Commonwealths instead of opening your mouth and making the rest of us Americans feel embarrassed by your arrogant ignorance.

@MedicNamedHope No matter what map you make by whatever means you want, some people are going to call it gerrymandering. Do you even know how they arrived at the map you see? It may not be gerrymandering At All by your standard.

@dilanesper This is just a strawman argument. Nobody is arguing to remove all due process. The argument is how much they are due. They are not due the same process as a citizen would be. But they do have a process that validates whether they can be removed or not.

@PrimordialTroll @LibertyCappy Yeah it wouldn't be difficult at all to program the software to not let your vehicle go into drive if it can't identify a valid driver in the driver seat. Nooooooo, that would be impossible.

Republicans voted for this too. Massie voted against it. Yet the Republican establishment wants to kick Thomas Massie out of congress even though he's one of the few people that actually fights for your Constitutional Rights Unbelievable

@GoopPlaceholder @aoinxsco I suspect you're also pretty comfortable with the idea of using suicide threats as a means for emotional manipulation. I mean of course it's not the suicide "victim" to blame. It's the people not doing what they were told would save them who are to blame.

@pulyus @aoinxsco It's not the topic but in an overwhelming majority of cases I wouldn't blame suicide on the victim. This is not a suicide pact, as the positive outcome is not unreachable. This is the side that would rather die in the catastrophe than be the responsible for the catastrophe

I find it really weird that neoliberal types are like "this will be a disaster" Bro, its an experiment. What if it works? You should be thinking about the consequences of the results on your ideology not shouting it down. Sure it might fail, but what if it works?
Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani@NYCMayor

At our city-owned grocery stores, staples like eggs and bread will actually be affordable. And we're going to do it the right way, without cutting workers' pay or dignity. Because in the wealthiest city in this country, buying groceries shouldn't be an unsolvable equation. It should be simple, fair, and within reach for everyone.

Blue button pushers are easily manipulated by deceptive wording, selfishly resorting to emotional coercion to manipulate other people into gambling their lives to save them from the consequences of their own choice, all while gaslighting everyone to thinking they are altruistic.

@QuantumlyQuirky @simoj_ Well you've made your choice now go find a blue button to push and see how it works out for you. I'm going to go live my life.

@pulyus @simoj_ The most intelligent thing to do is to save everyone. (For many reasons) Blue only have to get 51% of the votes to save everyone. Red has to get 100% of the votes to save everyone. (Which is impossible) Therefore blue is the best bet.

@GoopPlaceholder @aoinxsco I suspect you're one of those folks that blame suicide on those that are still living. I will feel no guilt over you joining a suicide pact. I told you it's a dumb idea now go do whatever it is you're going to do.

@pulyus @aoinxsco Idk, I think that many people agree that it would be nice if no one died and that it would not feel very good to be part of the reason an unclear amount of people died (Along with enduring the consequences of the disappearance of so many people at once)

The red-blue button experiment is occurring. The aliens running it single you out and inform you that blue is going to fail 49-51. However, they are offering you a chance to push a green button and make it so all who pressed blue live and all who pressed red die. Do you push it?

@QuantumlyQuirky @simoj_ The correct interpretation is that blue pushers don't even have the cognitive and reasoning abilities of a 10-year-old. I know it'll be tough for you to understand why so I'm not going to bother explaining it to you.

@simoj_ So the red pushers have the cognitive skills and maturity of 10 year olds. Like a 10 year old, he red voters don't spend any time understanding and considering the implications for other people. Thanks for confirming.

@marcosagusstinn Another globalist who refuses to believe that common culture, values and beliefs matter more to people than access to avocados in winter or being able to go on vacation halfway around the globe in a snap decision.

Europe must become a single state of 500M people. 1. Common capital markets 2. One regulatory system 3. Mostly energy independence (renewables + nuclear + electrification) 4. Unified army & foreign policy 5. Common industrial & tech projects Because the pieces are already there: - UK: 2nd biggest financial hub. 2nd largest hub by assets under management. Global leader in FX & derivatives. - Germany: 3rd largest economy. 2nd largest trade surplus in the world. - France: Global leader in nuclear energy, nuclear-armed military power, aerospace leader, and Europe’s leading agricultural powerhouse. - Spain: Renewable energy power + Massive Latin America influence (diplomatic + investment) - Italy: Manufacturing & exports Fragmented, Europe is weak. United, it’s a superpower. How to become one ↓ app.openmacro.ai/insights/what-…

@PositivFuturist If we assume 'everyone' then the whole question fails because there are people in the world that are not pushing anything. Comatose people, quadriplegics, one day old infants,... The whole question is broken and it is only reasonable if we assume informed and capable choice.

@morallawwithin I voted first, I voted blue. Now everybody knows that the first person voted blue and there's a greater chance that blue will win. Vote correctly, don't be assholes.

There are three buttons. If at least half of everyone in the world presses blue, then everybody lives. Otherwise, everyone who voted Blue dies. If you press red, you survive for certain. Finally, you may press green to opt out, refusing to participate in these twisted games.

@catboyautist And you're a prime example of what this question is meant to do. To Condition people into throwing their lives away for the collective even though they have no justification for the collective needing their lives. But it's your choice. Join that suicide pact.

If the group was only informed participants, 18 or over, with no disabilities, I would press red in a heartbeat. However you have to consider that a large chunk of the earths population are not logicians and cannot work out game theory or just randomly have a 50% chance of pressing blue as a baby would. If you want to save these people, and you know that the vast majority of other informed people want to save these people, then blue becomes the only choice.
Tim Urban@waitbutwhy

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?
