I'm always fascinated by this notion of due process as something we award a person because they've "earned it".
The reason for due process in immigration is to ensure that the people we deport are actually legally deportable.

If the group was only informed participants, 18 or over, with no disabilities, I would press red in a heartbeat.
However you have to consider that a large chunk of the earths population are not logicians and cannot work out game theory or just randomly have a 50% chance of pressing blue as a baby would.
If you want to save these people, and you know that the vast majority of other informed people want to save these people, then blue becomes the only choice.
