Liana v14 RC1 is out (on GitHub). It makes improvements across the board, especially on UX/UI. As many changes are part of this release, we would appreciate for people to test and report any bug you find. v14 will be available as soon as we are satisfied with the amount of testing.

Another dependency bites the dust! theuni has replaced Bitcoin Cores usage of Boost Signals 2, with a minimal, straighforward to maintain reimplementation. A nice side-effect of this change, is that the release built bitcoind binary, is a half megabyte smaller!

A founder told me recently it’s not their job to build a product that reflects their beliefs. I get it. But in Bitcoin, your beliefs are the product. If you don’t stand for something, your product won’t either.

Are there node-in-a-box users (@umbrel, @mynodebtc, @RaspiBlitz, @start9labs, @nodl_it, etc..) that would like to join the demo using their box? That could be interesting to use the same machine you use for your main node. If so, i'll try and put together some instructions..

Join us! Participating is easy: just sync a Signet node and wait for those blocks. Then share your results here or on the Delving thread below! We'll do three runs on Wednesday so everyone has a chance to see it live.

Everyone's losing their mind over quantum computers stealing Bitcoin. Meanwhile your seed phrase is written on a Post-it note. Fix the real threat first.

Multi-sig with custodians is the only way to live. I appreciate the "not your keys" lesson, but wrench attacks are becoming too common. You need to make it physically impossible to get all but a small % of your BTC. ETF ✅ Safe Casa 2-3 where you only have 1 key on you ✅ Safe MSTR ✅ Safe 2718 with Bitgo ✅ Safe Ledger under your bed 🚨

Very important work being done here, and frankly amazing improvements since the first version I've seen. I'd just add that mobile scanning isn't *that* grim now, we scan months in minutes, not hours, and we'll soon© have background sync on android that is reasonably frugal.

Silent payments is not just a new approach to static payment codes. It's the first serious contender to improve the address derivation system since HD wallets in 2013. HD wallets were a big win over single keys, and silent payments could be a similar leap forward.
