QShield is open source quantum security infrastructure for Solana. Every transaction exposes a public key on-chain. When quantum computers scale, those keys become vulnerable. We built the tooling to prepare for that now. Just dropped a demo of QShield running against Solana mainnet. Real wallets. Real data. We scan a wallet holding 346 SOL with hundreds of transactions. Risk score 0.640. High exposure. Recommendation: migrate. Then a fresh wallet. Score 0.000. Safe. The difference is clear. Wallets that have been signing for years have leaked way more key material on chain. When quantum catches up those are the first targets. Last step we generate an ML-DSA keypair and bind it to the Solana key. Attestation verified. An algorithm called Shor's can take your public key and give back your private key. And your public key is already on chain. People keep asking how quantum protection actually works at the code level. Every Solana wallet uses Ed25519 to sign transactions. Every time you sign your public key goes on chain permanently. A quantum computer running Shor's algorithm can take that public key and reverse it to get your private key. More transactions more exposure. QShield connects to your RPC and looks at real on-chain data. Transaction count, balance, activity, key age. Runs it through four weighted factors and gives you a risk score from 0 to 1. A fresh wallet scores near 0. A wallet with thousands of tx and a big balance scores close to 1. In monitor mode it warns you. In enforce mode it blocks the transaction before it hits the network. But the real part is ML-DSA attestation. You generate a quantum-resistant keypair and cryptographically bind it to your Solana key. Three lines of code. When Solana eventually has to switch signature schemes you already have the bridge built. You're not just detecting risk. Our roadmap is live. Six phases. Here's what's coming. The SDK is already out. Scans your keys, scores quantum risk, blocks bad transactions, migrates wallets. That's phase 1 and it's on npm right now. Next up we're building a Solana smart contract so any dApp can get quantum protection with one instruction. No SDK needed on the user side. After that we're making plugins for AI agent frameworks like ElizaOS and Rig so agents get quantum protection built in without changing any code. Then a quantum vault. Lock your assets behind quantum-safe signatures. Even if someone cracks your original key they can't touch the vault. From there we expand to Ethereum, Sui, and Aptos. Same protection, more chains.
