Why is business hard? Because businesses = groups of people. And people are COMPLICATED. They build narratives and do irrational things. So, in order to be successful in business, you need: 1. To spend most of your time studying psychology 2. Build exceptionally high EQ....

"The earth is degenerating today. Bribery and corruption abound. Children no longer obey their parents, every man wants to write a book, and it is evident that the end of the world is fast approaching." - Assyrian tablet, c. 2800 BC

To get a message to sink in you often need to repeat yourself. Many times. It also helps to say things and present them in different ways. Because people might not get the idea. Only when it is said in a particular way at a particular time will people have that aha moment.

If you had a manager that talked to you the way you talk to yourself, you’d quit. If you had a boss that wasted as much of your time as you do, they’d fire her. If an organisation developed its employees as poorly as you are developing yourself, it would soon go under.

When facing a tough decision I think to three very important points: 1. You are never wrong to do the right thing. 2. The right decision is often hardest in the short term. 3. This too shall pass.

Implementation beats knowledge. We'd rather you read one book and spend the rest of your life implementing it than read 1000 books and implement none of it. Don't fear the man who learnt 10,000 kicks. Fear the man who practiced 1 kick 10,000 times. - Bruce Lee.

Some flaws we are born with and some we pick up throughout our lives. Some are so deep seated that they can never be completely removed. But they can be covered up. No one need ever know that they exist.

No one is perfect, we all have flaws. Diamonds have flaws but they’re cut and mounted in a way to disguise the flaws. Not remove them. Disguise them, hide them. You may have flaws but that doesn’t mean you can’t work to minimise them.
