I extend my congratulations and unwavering support to @KemiBadenoch as our new Leader of the Conservative Party! Although my vote went to Robert Jenrick and that I in fact would have preferred Sunak to remain as leader, I agree with Richard Fuller that now is the time for unity. We must come together behind our new leader and devote our full support. The Conservative Party has been fractured for too long, with members breaking away to join the Reform Party or transferring to the Liberal Democrats. Another split could risk irreparable damage. While I initially supported Jenrick, i had reservations regarding his resilience and ability to defend the party’s core values, especially considering his more centrist background to the Conservative Party. Whereas, with Kemi Badenoch as leader, I am reassured. She embodies the strong backbone and commitment to right-wing principles that the Tories need! While I still question if Rishi Sunak should have remained as party leader, I now encourage Kemi Badenoch to work collaboratively with the rest of the party, teaming up with key figures like @SuellaBraverman and @PennyMordaunt. We must form a formidable Shadow Cabinet, putting aside past differences and focus on a united front. Kemi Badenoch, though you may not have had my initial vote, you now have my full support for the time being.
