There are things we should be able to say plainly. But we can’t. Because there are gatekeepers of grief and designated spokespeople for sorrow, and somehow we never qualify. So let me say it plainly, without euphemism or editorial sheen: Fuck every person who has ever uttered that Israel has a right to defend itself. Fuck every person who parroted Israeli propaganda—about October 7, about mass rapes, about beheaded babies. Fuck every person who could watch the wholesale slaughter of Palestinians, mourn it, and still condemn their right to resist extermination. Fuck every person who policed our language, our grief, our protests—every person who dared to frame this genocide as “both sides.” Fuck every person with a platform who chose silence over duty. An entire people has been pulverized into dust and memory, because cowards refused to call a genocide by its name and bigots masquerading as truthsayers refused to believe that Palestinians were people worth saving.
