The latest developments in Iran may have serious consequences for Iran, the entire region, price of oil and global economy. An end to war anytime soon now seems more and more unlikely.

Oil markets are moving based on future risk, not just current supply. With mixed political signals and no clear path to reopening the Strait of Hormuz, traders have baked a significant geopolitical risk premium into prices, pushing oil to around $112 per barrel. There are some genuine supply concerns and the market is watching closely how long these risks last. From a historic perspective, oil price trends tend to push in one direction, often to extreme levels, before any meaningful reversal. On a positive note, any development that reopens the Strait could quickly ease tension. Supply could be restored, alternative sources ramped up, and emergency reserves tapped. Oil prices could begin trading much lower within days.

@Infokid1Infokid $25 for 10lbs would be great, but that may not be the case this year. There was this farm on Marine and Oak in Burnaby that had great blueberries for reasonable price, but don’t see them any more. Probably a townhouse complex in works.

Blueberry is one of the most nutritious fruits and the most expensive one in Vancouver at this time. It’s $5 for 400g. Gone are days of buying a bucket for $20.
