@TessaVMolnar I feel like a lot of small business owners who can't afford lawyers, might fold if they received a cease and desist letter from a competitor that had a State registration attached. In that regard, I imagine they could be effective in enforcement outside of court in small matters

Serious question: Does a state-level trademark registration provide you with more or better rights than the common law rights you’d have from using your mark in commerce in connection with certain goods and/or services?

@KevinEspiritu Been driving by that in San Diego for months and then saw the same branding at the big nursery off of Sports Arena. Definitely built up anticipation for me and the girlfriend to go check it out haha

For months, I've seen this semi parked on this exact freeway overpass on my drive home... Today, I met the owner of the nursery. They're primarily a wholesale nursery, so I didn't understand why they were leaving a semi idle...shouldn't it be in use for deliveries? Turns out, he's opening a huge retail space in the city just a few exits up... Parking the semi there is better advertising than a billboard, and costs $60 a day in parking tickets or $1,800/mo, likely far cheaper than any other advertising he could do... Big brain moves 🧠

Business communications in the Summer is wild. It's like minesweeper with all the OOO messages. You don't know who will get back to you from a month from now, when your OOO is on, and next thing you know all the deadlines are much closer than they appeared at first 😂

One time I was interviewing with a lawyer, and he had me take a personality test. I scored a 0 on the neuroticism portion, and he was skeptical that I had lied. Little does he know I am just a Pisces sun and a Quad Stellium Aquarius and literally live in a dream world.

@AmandaMGoetz If you register the trademark to your name, you can get expedited takedowns by the platform through a IP takedown request 👍🏽 it’s way quicker than a normal impersonation request!

Another day another person making a fake account and DMing my followers. How do people handle this? Just ignore it at some point. It’s happening now every week.
