BREAKING: Trump punishes Pope Leo for criticizing his Iran War by stripping $11 million from Catholic Charities in Florida that was supposed to help shelter and care for children who enter the country alone.
Trump is terrorizing kids in America while killing them overseas...
“The U.S. government has abruptly decided to end more than 60 years of relationship with Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of Miami,” said Archbishop Thomas Wenski. “The Archdiocese of Miami’s services for unaccompanied minors have been recognized for their excellence and have served as a model for other agencies throughout the country.”
"Our track record in serving this vulnerable population is unmatched. Yet, the Archdiocese of Miami’s Catholic Charities’ services for unaccompanied minors has been stripped of funding and will be forced to shut down within three months," he added.
The Department of Homeland Security, through its Office of Refugee Resettlement, has paid Catholic Charities in Miami for years to help house children who enter the country without accompanying adults. The Miami Herald describes the program as essentially a "federally funded foster care system."
Bishop Wenski said that despite there being a recent decrease in unaccompanied minors “it is baffling that the U.S. government would shut down a program that it would be hard-pressed to replicate at the level of competence."
Robert Latham, associate director of the University of Miami Law School’s Children and Youth Law Clinic, said that the gutting of funding and possible need to move the children elsewhere could inflict serious damage on their developing psyches.
"It’s incredibly psychologically harmful to be moved,” he said. “For little kids, moving repeatedly creates bonding issues and destroys the sense of both self and community. They don’t know who they are and where they will be."
“This should only be done with a lot of emotional support that you normally would find within a family. Unfortunately, that is not there in a group home setting,” Latham added.
Of course, Donald Trump couldn't care less about the suffering of children. This man was friends with Jeffrey Epstein for years and been accused of sexual abuse himself. He started his Iran War by blowing up a school full of little girls and his administration has worked around the clock to strip funding from programs that feed, educate, and house children.
While the administration has not admitted that these funding cuts are payback against Pope Leo, the point A to point B is apparent. Trump is the most vindictive man to ever hold the presidency. He has been relentlessly attacking Leo for criticizing his Iran War. This is him using financial leverage in an effort to beat the Pope into submission. It will not work.
Please ❤️ and share to demand that the funding be doubled when Democrats take back control!

NEWS: The Pope’s brother just received a bomb threat at his home.
This comes after Donald Trump publicly attacked Pope Leo XIV.
Trump attacked the Pope.
Then someone threatened to bomb the Pope’s family.
The same pattern as MTG — whose children received death threats after Trump called her a traitor.
Trump attacks someone.
Their family gets threatened.
Every single time.

BREAKING: The Senate just passed the legislation allowing the devastation of the Boundary Waters.
The motion passed 50-49, and now goes to Donald Trump’s desk.
The way Republicans passed this bill that prevents future administrations from issuing protections for Superior National Forest, so this pristine land will be exploited in perpetuity unless Congress intervenes to reverse this decision.
The state of Minnesota can still block the Chilean mining corporation from operating in Superior National Forest and protect the Boundary Waters from pollution.
More Perfect Union@MorePerfectUS
The Senate is about to vote on handing a national forest over to a foreign corporation. A Chilean mining company wants to develop a copper mine upstream from the Boundary Waters, a pristine wilderness. The GOP has to choose between a foreign corporation and their constituents.

The US flag flies over Puerto Rico but the constitution didn’t follow it. The laws that protect US citizens do NOT protect us on our land. Puerto Rico is a colony just like the US states were colonies under the British 🇬🇧. #FreePuertoRico.

The quote that matters most in the Atlantic piece does not come from a critic.
It comes from Andrew Napolitano - libertarian, retired judge, Alito's Princeton classmate. His words: "Sam is not an originalist. Sam is a conservative person who wants a conservative outcome."
And the record backs him. At the tariff hearing, Alito was volunteering legal justifications for Trump's orders that Trump's own legal team had not raised. National Review put it in print: "it is not the Court's job to opine on powers the president has not invoked."
When the publication that shaped your legal worldview since college has to tell you to stay in your lane, something has shifted.
Roberts, Barrett, Kavanaugh, and Gorsuch have each, at least occasionally, pushed back on unchecked executive power. They understand their own movement's stated first principles require it. Alito, on the rare occasions they cross over, holds firm for Trump.
"Held firm" is doing a lot of work in that sentence.
