Every time I see a complaint of stuck culture or Hauntology, all I see is this: “This is the perspective of an aging person that doesn’t realize the old institutions have been hollowed out. They are no longer the center of the world, and they haven’t updated accordingly.”

The fact that Hollywood makes sequel bait slop is NOT evidence of stuck culture, because Hollywood is hardly culture anymore The engines of cultural production moved from decaying institutions and into the wild of cyberspace How the fuck are you going to totally ignore that

Critiques of “stuck culture” always seem absurd to me for a few reasons: 1. The Internet led to a colossal explosion of strange new subcultures and aesthetics no longer limited by physical practicality 2. It’d be like calling the persistence of neoclassical aesthetics “stuck”

@AlexanderTw33ts Magnesium before bed is one of the few supplements that actually tangibly produces positive results NAC is probably good but I subjectively notice no effect

The ominous synchronization of machine intelligence explosion with global dysgenic tsunami still eludes explanation. Genre seems inescapably gothic, though.

My inventory would cost $10,000 USD to manually purchase if you bought Robux directly from Roblox If I liquidated it for cash right now, I could get something like $3500 in crypto But the sentimental value is greater than $3500

The value of my childhood Roblox inventory has appreciated 500% since 2020 I am officially a Roblox millionaire If I had invested in Robux instead of securities I could have been a legendary Gourd Futures type trader

I need you to fully internalize this: The reason the West disowned nuclear energy is because of Environmentalists. The Environmentalists have kept us perpetually reliant on fossil fuels when we essentially invented clean post-scarcity energy extraction an entire century ago.

Few things exemplify the destructive self-righteousness of Leftism more than boomer hippie environmentalists “saving” the environment by dismantling the most clean and efficient method of energy capture ever devised by Man

FYI, this is what 20 years worth of safely stored nuclear waste looks like. You can fit it in a third of an average convenience store parking lot.

@AllSpacesFilled The connections you make are like, coke plugs Unless you go to an Ivy, in which case you’re gaining coke plugs and young adults whose parents are in positions of power

College is a suboptimal route right now less because of the financial burden and more because of the insane opportunity cost The opportunity cost, burning 4-6 years of your life for a relatively low utility return, *that* kills you 10x harder than being $30k in debt or whatever

@redaction College is suboptimal because it tries to larp the roman collegium. Going to college is like joining hustlers university to "network with the rich" than actual networking with the rich by being part of a real commercial circle.
