@TheCodeTraveler @MichaelStonis It’s picking up your ~/.dotnet folder install. Generally it tries to look for that relative to the app’s CWD. Might have to think about if this is always desirable or at least detect all installs and allow you to pick / change which to use. Still a WIP but coming along!

@MichaelStonis Whoa - I could've used this for my workshop participants last week!! @redth - How does MAUI Sherpa determine which versions of .NET / MAUI I have installed? Here's a printout from `dotnet --info` showing I do have the latest versions installed, but Sherpa doesn't detect it.

@samuel_sidor @djbyter @therachelkang On Windows, MAX PATH becomes an issue easily, unfortunately. Last I checked, Android SDK things don't work with long paths enabled either, so IDE choice wouldn't matter. As mentioned, move things close to the root, and avoid long names in folders/projects.

@djbyter @therachelkang @redth reference here github.com/Kebechet/Maui.… another workaround is to move your project close to the root. For that I have my "E:" disk set as devdrive. And with both of these things I was able to run it in Windows VS. I think Rider doesn't have this problem
