On Friday, March 13, TSA officers missed their first full paycheck because of the Democrat DHS shutdown. Even without pay, they continue to show up and protect American travelers. If you are traveling, tell them thank you.

It was especially meaningful hearing how many moms in the room have sons & daughters watching them succeed in fields like construction and engineering—showing the next generation what hard work and leadership look like. Today marks the 24th day of the Democrat-driven shutdown of @DHSgov. This is forcing TSA and other DHS workers to work without pay AGAIN. Enough is enough, Democrat's should vote to reopen the government.

Spring break travel is upon us, and airports across the country are feeling the impacts of the Democrats' DHS shutdown. Please be patient and thank the dedicated @TSA officers who are working to protect the traveling public, even as they go without pay. Congressional Democrats need to do the right thing and help pass long-term funding for DHS before this gets even worse.

As a kid from Westville, it has been the greatest honor and privilege to serve the people of Oklahoma for the past thirteen years in both the House and Senate. I am grateful to President Trump for nominating me to lead the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
