@TheGreenPig321 Seems we were hit with a DDoS around that time, it was the middle of the night so only auto-mitigation kicked in, everything is working as normal now though. ^pm

You know your service is a success when it's constantly crashing due to server errors.

@RickySmeggers Hi, you can select "see other platforms and downloads" on the website and select "GitHub Releases" under Windows. We prefer users install through the Windows Store because we can guarantee any future updates will always go through but the option is there to use an installer. ^pm

@revoltchat Why is revolt only downloadable through Windows Store?(from the website) it's so hard to find it even when looking for it(I've searched for "revolt chat" under apps and it isn't even there), I cant imagine discoverability is good with that as your main option.

Hi, I've cut off service for a little bit since we are currently being DDoS'd and I'd rather not have all that traffic hit the actual server nodes. On the plus side, it just started snowing outside. ^pm

@ToxicJ73978315 @RexogamerS I do want to mention, reading through the thread: Voice needs its own server-side component as to prevent users from connecting to each other directly. Discord does the same thing in this regard but it's entirely transparent to the user. (2/2)

@ToxicJ73978315 @RexogamerS We do use WebRTC, it's used under the hood by Vortex. WebRTC is simply a set of technologies which can be implemented by a library such as mediasoup (which we're currently using) or webrtc-rs (which we want to switch to). ^pm (1/2)
