Space-based data centers make total sense, especially with low cost launch and high mass to orbit via Starship. The sun offers a free, abundant and clean energy source that can be harnessed through massive solar arrays to power satellite AI data centers. The climate in space offers a natural source of cooling & ventilation for AI compute clusters. Then you launch a constellation of solar-powered satellites that have have embedded power and cooling advantages. The satellites each house a GPU farm for AI computing/processing. The satellites will have high frequency up and downlinks plus wideband laser crosslinks to create the ultimate AI network. And voila…you have a AI compute system in space that serves the massive genAI demand of humanity.
