My mom was the first person to give skin to skin contact to one of the first babies born with AIDS in the US. Everyone else was in hazmat suits, and she saw that baby and decided it needed some loving. So she did it. Ive tried to carry that with me. Miss you, mom. You rocked.

BIG SHOT JON One of the best curling shots you’ll ever see. Canada’s Jon Thurston through the small port, doubles out the Norway stones. No sweepers. Incredible skill. Leads to six in the 6th and handshakes for the win.

OH MY GOSH. JON THURSTON!😱 Canada’s 🇨🇦Jon Thurston pulls off what might be one of the greatest curling shots EVER - threading it through the port and hitting the thinnest of runbacks. Absolutely unbelievable. #MilanoCortina2026 #Paralympics2026

Been really, really missing my pal Colleen Jones this last few days A legendary curler and broadcaster, who truly understood the game, she would have provided the perfect amount of compassion, clarity and tone to all of this Thinking about you, Coll. And wish you were here

⚾ Buck Martinez & Dave Stieb: The Interviews (P1/5). ⚾ To close out our celebration of Buck's retirement, here they are when the @BlueJays clinch the 1991 AL East. (Buck is drawing parallels to his own 1985 season-ending injury in 1985 with Stieb being out since May 22.)

Yeah. The "universality" of Holden's experience is overstated - especially, I would imagine, in a class of mostly girls. I read it later, but had that same feeling - that I had no time for Holden, that his universal experience was alien to me.

@DollEyes4961 Missing spoiler alert . . . I'll take Benoit Blanc being misunderstood to be hitting on Kermit, with subsequent karate chop threat by Piggy before the misunderstanding is cleared up & he gets a Mahwah on the cheek . . .

Today, we remember the fourteen young women whose lives were stolen at  Polytechnique Montréal 36 years ago.   Their names are a solemn reminder of the devastating toll of gender-based violence — and the responsibility that comes with our remembrance.
