Plants often excrete poison to prevent insects from attacking them. The use of poison as protection is about as natural as it gets. That does NOT imply we should abandon regulations, but to wholesale disallow CPP because it’s “unnatural” fails to understand biology.

@GHGGuru This is something the #AFIA has explained along with industry. I remember this very debate back in Doha. Animal agriculture reduces emissions by focusing on poor practices of poor countries far more than trying to change diets or even last mile waste. Productivity and genetics

Here is what the recent FAO report really stated. The figure shows various interventions that reduce the footprint of animal source foods as well as that of consumer behavior (i.e. food waste and diet change).

@pizzapicklespur @GHGGuru @smiddendorp22 FAO is a great organization. Crop protection products will always have some risk. Glyphosate is, far and away, the low risk option. So many chemicals I would worry about way before this one (like forevers). GMOs are eaten by animals typically not people. Zero harm.

@GHGGuru @smiddendorp22 Frank, hanging your hat on FAO puts you in the company of an org who has pushed cancer on the world for 25 years. Glyphosate and GMO are failures and lethal. Why align like this?

@jimkottmeyer Nicely done. But it’s become a bit of an expectation that @gpsimpact clients outperform expectations by now. Still, particularly in KY (a good ag State) this one means quite a bit to the rural community.

Difference between #AmericanAirlines and #KLM. American loses a bag, they do what it takes to find it. When #klmisajoke loses a bag with an AirTag identifying exactly where it is, they are too lazy to care. There is a reason I fly #American and #OneWorld for 250k+ miles/yr.
