I have seen journey with every singer after Steve Perry too.I grew up with Steve Perry so he will always be my favorite.nor to take away from the others who followed because they all have great voices.

@JukeBoxNonStop I've seen every iteration of Journey since 1980 including the short stint of Jeff Scott Soto (who I love). Augeri sounded a lot like Perry, but had his own personality. Pineda is, and always has been, a Perry impersonator. They have turned into their own Journey tribute band. Sad

@JukeBoxNonStop Huge difference. SP has the Sam Cooke influence. SA is a high tenor but lacks the R&B edge. SA is still a great singer. The SA era is better than the current lineup.

@JukeBoxNonStop My customers at The Beat Goes On insisted that they saw Steve Perry in concert when it was in fact Steve Augeri that they saw. They hated being corrected on that.

@JukeBoxNonStop Quick story. RIGHT AFTER the change, I saw them in KC. There were signs all over the place saying, "Steve Augeri is the new singer, if you want a refund you have to get it before the 3rd song starts." 100's of people went in for a refund, I stayed and thought he was great!!

@jthomp1959 @JukeBoxNonStop There is a tribute band called Escape and they are good as well.their singer has a long wig and he changes after a few songs.either with another wig or shoulder length hair.

@JukeBoxNonStop No one is as good as Perry. Augeri was the closest to Perry. Great singer and a wonderful person. Singing every night killed his voice. Ever heard the tribute band Voyage? They are great

@JukeBoxNonStop @OneWayMusicX I can tell them apart, but they are strikingly similar. I have listened to Steve Perry for 30 years, so it's easy to tell his voice. That said, I don't think Journey could have found anyone with a closer voice match. I'd say he is "almost" as good.

@JukeBoxNonStop Well of course. Tone is similar, but not the same and he doesn't have the vibrato that Perry does, especially at the end of his runs. Anyone who can't tell the difference isn't really listening. There's only one Steve Perry.

@JukeBoxNonStop He is a strong singer though.we actually saw him in concert a year or two ago and enjoy his singing.there are a few people that can sound like Steve Perry but not exactly.

@JukeBoxNonStop He is extremely good, I’ve been a fan of his for a long time ever since he was in the band Tall Stories, but why are they playing the song so frigging fast
