They were not expelled as English jews were and the first real migration happened in the 1870's when Lithuanian jews sought refuge here. What you're talking about took place after WW2

Proven right again. Last year I told you all that Kent leaked President Trump’s private meeting schedule, particularly his meetings with Jewish Republicans, to Tucker Carlson and Max Blumenthal. When admin officials caught Kent, who was in the hallway to Trump’s office when he was seen picking up his phone and texting Tucker, he was confronted by Senior White House officials who wanted to see if he would lie to their faces. So they cornered him and asked him if he leaked to Tucker. They said they knew it was him. Kent confessed. Kent was then told, “if you ever do that again, you’re fired.” Again, this is now a confirmation of everything I reported last year. When I posted my reporting, Kent retaliated against me by posting a vague tweet that insinuated I am a Mossad agent. A total abuse of power.

The Department of Justice explicitly limited Jewish admissions, citing risks of an "anti-Semitic problem." Appeals for entry were often denied; estimates show only about 30-300 Jewish refugees (including some non-permanent) were admitted between 1933-1945, far fewer than proposed schemes for orphans or others that were blocked or scaled back. De Valera intervened in select cases, but overall refusal was the norm.
