Humans are weaker and slower than other mammals. If it were not for intelligence, we would have long since died out.
Intelligence has obviously been the primary evolutionary vector for humans. What is underappreciated is how much happened in the last 10k years.
There was an intelligence explosion ~6k years ago with sudden development of writing, agriculture, elementary math, etc.
All that said, our little meat computers are just the biological bootloaders for digital superintelligence.

Of course intelligence is heritable. The directional selection on human brain size over the last few million years is dramatic. The people over at the New Yorker apparently have no idea how evolution works.

@CP24 Or they could try what some other educational institutions such as Waldorf have done and introduce Cyber Civics into the curriculum. This better informs kids how to navigate the digital/virtual world. They also work with the parents to help keep them involved and work as a team.
