Curious question for programmers on Roblox...👀 So I'm really new to scripting and so far the script's I have created don't really have that many lines. I've seen things before where people post about their scripts that have been over 1,000 lines long 🫣 What causes some codes to have so many lines? Is it normal to have small lines of code?

Day 24 of learning how to script on Roblox 👀✨ Today I decided to do something a bit different… 🫣 Roblox has their own scripting guide under the create/learn tab. I think I pretty much read through EVERY section. I can’t say that I’ve been able to memorize everything after reading this but since I now have basic knowledge of scripting a lot of the information they put on there has made a lot of sense. I highly recommend for anyone who’s also interested im learning how to script, to read the guide Roblox has given us themselves!!! Tomorrow I plan to be more hands on, I think I might start creating my own little game now 🤔

@plaguewitha3 LuaU is fairly difficult to learn from my knowledge, but it definitely seems to be easy once you get the hang of it. Mind you I am not a programmer 😅 With your other point, using AI is a huge time saver for people of all skill-levels, and it can help you work more productively

@haizoopRBLX Try roblox-ts.com if you want to be a real game programmer. Don't worry if you don't get it the first time tho, it is not Luau. You write your game logic in TypeScript (which is a better-suited language for complex work) and then compiled to Luau. Just so you know!

Day 17 of learning how to script on Roblox! 👀✨ Not exactly anything super interesting to post about, especially with visuals. I’ve kinda been going over the basics on how to use GUI and I’ve been rewriting scripts to get the hang of it. Even though I don’t have much of anything interesting enough to show you guys, I still think it’s important to continue to document the process! 🫶🏼 So to be more specific… I have been able to learn text/image labels, buttons, frames and scrolling frames, text boxes, and surface GUI! I plan to finish the GUI tutorial series tomorrow, so hopefully I can post a visual combined with everything I’ve been able to learn!!! 🥳
