April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Join us in raising awareness and showing support for this important cause. We have a special event planned for TODAY (Friday, April 4) at 4 PM in front of our DSS building. Come out, wear blue, and help us plant our pinwheel garden.

The Rowan Community Center will be closing early Tuesday, March 25, due to a power outage in the area. Duke Power anticipates the power will be back on this evening.

During its meeting earlier this week, the BOC appointed D.R. Lancaster as Interim Commissioner to serve while Commissioner Mike Caskey is deployed to the Middle East. Lancaster has over 11 years of experience in law enforcement and leadership.

Yesterday, the BOC recognized the South Rowan HS Cheer Competition with a proclamation. They not only attained a state championship and Carolina Cup title in 2024, but earned a silver medal in the D2 varsity medium non-tumble division at the 2025 nationals. Way to go, Raiders!
