Omni demonstrates Ethereum alignment through restaking

Its been an extremely crazy day - and some on-chain fanatics may have seen a contract on ETH eating up more gas than the uniswap universal router for a few hours today. Wanted to share some Clique lore and history as always, and also give a huge shout-out to the @OmniFDN team for working through this with us. As some of you here may know, clique has been on a journey to enable more sophisticated forms of incentive distribution tooling through our tech. But sometimes, you can plan a pretty picnic, but you can't predict the weather. I wanted to share some lessons and takeaways from this wild experience of a day. A big part of Clique's core capabilites is handling on-chain compute off-chain. And that's why with Omni's drop, we implemented a signature system that could be dynamically update rewards within the claims process. This, along with the signer paying for the transaction, was meant to create a smoother and cheaper experience for users to claim. However, we also wanted to try and ensure throughput for user claims, and so we decided closer to the drop that we should try to get more rewards confirmed on-chain. But of course, ETH has its limitations, and hence began the story of how we managed to overthrow Uniswap in gas guzzled (for a period of time). Having said that, we still did run into the issue of having multiple dynamic update requests simultaneously. Because of that, some users claims were delayed. Something that we will work tirelessly on to ensure that it does not become commonplace amongst our drops. Thankfully, Omni is partnered with some awesome communities (and also have an amazing one of their own!), and they stayed through the journey with us while we sorted everything out to make sure that everyone could claim the rewards that they deserved. Wanted to write a reflection here - as a note on how Clique can continue to grow, as an important memory in my web3 joruney, but also as a huge congratulations to the OMNI team for their launch!
