@thedefiedge True to a point. Decentralization helps like someone said in the comments, but most communities chase short-term gains and pressure founders when things slow down. This only fuels burnout and doubt
So if you ask me the solution is having the right community

@RobberFarm Facts 💯!
Web3 games are boring, and that's why most die out fast. They focus too much on the P2E mechanics and forget that games are meant to be fun first.
No one's sticking around for bad gameplay, no matter the rewards.✌🏾

Alright, I find this space pretty strange. I’ve been seeing some Web3 bros share their thoughts on the recently released game Off the Grid.
While the game has been well-received, the main question everyone keeps asking is: “How do we make money from this?” That’s the part that interests them. But here’s the thing—if I want to play a good game, I’d just play a Web2 title.
This is the issue with most Web3 games. They’ve always been too focused on the money aspect. And sure, we’re in this space to make money, but when it comes to gaming, it’s a different ball game. If you want to create a game that’s widely accepted, you can’t prioritize the P2E (Play-to-Earn) model. It will ruin the gameplay. Instead, focus on creating a fun and engaging experience.
Honestly, I can’t see myself playing most Web3 games because they’re just not enjoyable. You end up forcing yourself to play because you know there’s a chance to earn money. In fact, most of the time, we end up hiring people to play for us because these games lack fun, quality, and replayability. But Off the Grid did something different. They made a genuinely good game that’s fun to play. The best part? You wouldn’t even realize it’s a blockchain game unless you dug into the details—that’s how well they’ve done it.
To be honest, I didn’t even know Off the Grid was a blockchain game at first. A friend just told me about a new release, and we ended up playing together for 7 hours. It wasn’t until I joined the Discord community to check out others’ opinions that I found out it was a crypto game.
This is the power of creating a game that’s fun, interesting, and well-made. The money comes after. If you get players hooked, they’ll end up spending. That’s how it works, and I hope other Web3 games learn from this example.
By the way, if you wanna play Off the Grid with me, just ping me, and when I’m free, we can play together!

@nelsonikenworie Is this common practice with ambassador roles across the space,
or is the point system mainly a cost-saving strategy for projects to maximize their budgets?
I just want to understand
Cause I'm here thinking ambassadors are out there printing fiat
English

Lately, many Web3 projects have been exploiting their communities…
They roll out ambassador programs, and offer payment in points or tokens that aren’t even listed on exchanges yet.
I remember when I first joined a Web3 ambassador role. They promised points that “could” one day be worth something. So, I poured my heart into it—posting, promoting, and giving it my all.
But after months of hard work, the project never launched, and those points turned out to be worthless. I realized I had been used—for believing in empty promises.
What’s the difference between that and an airdrop? Why not just be upfront and use an airdrop? At least people will know from the onset that they are farming airdrops.
Honestly, too many of these projects either fail to launch or do so on such a lowkey level that your hard work becomes pointless.
Would these same projects ask marketing agencies to promote them for free with a points system in Web2? Absolutely not. They pay upfront, and Web3 ambassador compensation should follow that logic.
Community promotion is a core value in Web3, but some projects are misusing that privilege. I’ve learned this the hard way.
My advice? Stop accepting ambassador roles that rely on points unless you’re building your PoW.
You could work for years and still get nothing…
Dem go use you tire 😮

There is always a pain point that slows the adoption of a tech.
Imagine you had to input some 'high-level codes' to send an email. Not many people would have bothered today with emails.
Fragmentation breeds complications. Chain Abstraction creates the leveling ground for dApps unification. That's why we bother at all.

@bullofthedip It sounds oddly enough like anxiety and depression 😆

I'm happy to share that I'll be joining the @Layer2_M team as an intern.
Layer 2 M is a brand media with the vision of onboarding the next wave of users to Modularity and Chain Abstraction.
We have watched modularity expand beyond just a tech, to become a social collaborative ecosystem and culture, and in the few years —set to be the norm for building the next-gen killer apps.
"Sorry but you just have to go Modular" there isn't any other way.
Excited to join an equally striving team, and it's a big week ahead for @Layer2_M, and I look forward to this expansion till mass adoption. 🌱

I consider that I’m biased about #Cardano.
But each time I look at this, I can’t help but thinking… “holy shit”!
How can an ecosystem with clear goals, talking with nation states, enabling a sovereign fund for decentralized tech products and growing its tech libraries at the speed of light with top level cybersecurity while having a strict scarce supply can be… THAT MISSPRICED?
It’s difficult to be an $ADA investor because you’re always wondering if you’re the absolute genius or the absolute retard missing something.

#sui is legit cooking.
🌬️Heard they are 10 toes up with SCION to lock down the blockchain (a step up from BGP setup 👀). Also, memes are looking extra bullish, and there’s talk of a 115% pump this past month.
If true, they are leading this bull run on Black Air Force ✅
