@rupaligoel9 @arindam___paul My RM similarly keeps pushing for insurance linked products. Invest 20L for 2 years, after 10 years u will get pension for life of 7L per year. Total 40L to be locked with them no interest, to get only 7L per year after 10years. People can use tools and calculators.

Was sitting next to someone in the airport today who seemed to be a sales manager working in a bank For 40 mins, all he did was call up 7-8 people ( seemed to be his reportees) and asked for sales updates. And kept blasting each of them. Some verbatims “I don’t care about inputs and efforts. I need only results. Need the insurance policies sold today” “Don’t tell me stories. Get me numbers at any cost” “I will fire everyone at the branch if numbers don’t happen this month” Unfortunately this is the harsh reality of many sales managers and leaders in India. Shouting, berating team members, threatening team members about job security etc. No focus on input metrics and want only results at any cost. Most often all they do is just follow up and build pressure on team members. And don’t even have the intellectual capability to identify right problems and solve them structurally. Indirectly all of this sales pressure leads to mis selling and consumer suffers I hope the new generation of sales managers and leaders change this toxic culture across industries As I have often said, be aggressive with your input metrics and actions, but lead with empathy. And never ever shout st and berate team members. Every sales employee deserves a life of dignity
