After 8.75 years, today is my last day at @twitter. Thank you to all the tweeps who have made this such an incredible and life-changing experience. #lovewhereyouworked

@bd @wil I appreciate that that logo is still in the public repo as a little Easter egg.

I am going to miss this place. We built something special here, and I do not expect to see its like ever again. I have worked here at Twitter for over 11 years. Back in July, I was the 27th most tenured employee at the company. Now I'm the 15th. I am not going to click "yes"

Not sure what lost value faster, an NFT of Jack's first tweet, or the entire company. Way to go, dipshit.

@zmack I'm sad, but I'm good. I left in June after almost 9 years there. Dude destroyed it in a manner of weeks. One of my former teams quit entirely. Another has 1 person left with 4 in the larger area (a few weeks ago ~100). It's done.

THIS. I was 9yrs old when Hurricane Katrina devastated my hometown of New Orleans—when George Bush and the media largely ignored us for days, until it was too late. Twitter was invented a year later and since then has been a key part of giving us a voice during subsequent storms.

One thing that keeps me up at night right now is the possibility that Twitter’s potential death spiral will coincide with a major regional/national/global crisis. For better or worse, Twitter is a crucial disaster comms tool, and we don’t have a replacement for it. 1/
