We're simplifying how Amper subscriptions work. When we launched, we offered two options: pay $6/month in USDC or pay in $AMPR which was automatically burned on payment. Going forward we're moving to USDC only at $6/month. Here's our thinking. Burning $AMPR through a subscription payment is a weak use of supply. The burns would be small, unpredictable, and tied to billing cycles rather than to the growth of the protocol. It adds friction for users and creates a volatile payment experience when the price of $AMPR moves. More importantly, we want $AMPR's future utility to be something more meaningful than a subscription burn. Keeping revenue in USDC gives us a stable, predictable base to build on and frees $AMPR for token mechanics that actually align with where we're taking this product long term. We are building for longevity. That means making decisions now that give $AMPR real purpose as the protocol matures, not locking it into a mechanic that doesn't scale.
