Today we mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, honouring the 14 women killed at École Polytechnique on Dec. 6, 1989 and all impacted by gender-based violence. The District is committed to fostering safe, inclusive spaces for all.

To all of you wonderfully dear naive & gullible types out there whom I love so much… If you are angry about my posts on the US becoming a Canadian province: imagine how Canadians felt when an actual leader of a friendly neighboring country floated that idea across the border. I just had to sign my son’s syllabus… worth a test grade …. Really should it be worth anything? I get wanting paperwork turned in but grading a signature on a syllabus? A sign of a broken education system #miched #mschat

@Kozman71 @SD35IS We are meant to assess learning, not timing. Retakes, if 'testing' has to be a thing, at least, are mandatory. But each student's assessment ought to be driven by their demonstration of mastery in whatever mode suits them best.

Hey @VancouverSun, Assessment & Grading are not a matter of “opinion.” There is a large body of research that makes clear the fundamental principles of measurement. Many of us who are familiar with it but sure, publish another “opinion piece.” % is NOT clear feedback. #bced
