Most "new" scammer accounts in your Web3 Discord aren't new. Joined 2-8 weeks ago. Stayed silent. Read your channels. Learned your mod names, announcement patterns, hype cycles. Then struck on mint day. Account-age filters miss this. Behavioral signals don't.

A leaked Discord webhook URL is one of the most common Web3 incident vectors. Attacker doesn't need your password. Doesn't need 2FA. They POST a message to your announcement channel — looking exactly like your team posted it. Rotate your webhooks. Regularly.

Anatomy of a Discord drainer: 1/ Scraper pulls your member list (public API) 2/ Fake mod DMs "exclusive pre-mint" 3/ Link → drainer site 4/ Victim signs token approval 5/ Wallet empties Preventable. Usually isn't.
