I’m a NITian. Chemical Engineering. The interviewer looked me in the eye and said, “You’re the best performer today.” I still wasn’t selected. Reason? I’m General category. Recently a PSU drive happened at our campus.

@shadow_rder No chance , if the interviewer of a PSU board said that they will consider u. They are not hiring only sc st obc . I. General quota they would have definitely taken you

@shiny1956 It wasn't really about reservation rr it's about why have even we got called and complete among ourselves even though if they didn't want to select. I can understand you belong to certain community if it did happened to you you will be talking the same

@shadow_rder There is no category hiring in NITs.I had sat for BPCL interview frm NIT DGP.there were 2 rounds 5 ST candidates frm 50 students none of the ST candidates were selected... Secondly,interviewer does play with ur emotions to make u feel relaxed.I knw it feels bad to not be selected

@ShirsenduPal03 Don't know what you're talking about. I had the 2nd-highest CGPA among the applicants, my interview lasted longer than anyone else's, and the interviewer literally told me I was the best performer. If they hadn't told me that directly, I wouldn't be mentioning it here.

@shadow_rder Man sorry to break to you, but in my college IITH, BPCL came and yes I am from chemical engineering. There was no vacancy for Chem and mech so they did not shortlist us. But from civil they selected 3 Gen (maybe one was with ews). So dont pitch your incompetency with their fault!
