A couple of days ago, our esports team unexpectedly caught some local hype on Twitter 🐦‍⬛️ It’s clear there’s a real demand for transparency in the market. That’s why we’ve started working on a separate website dedicated to our esports division, where the team’s financials and competitive results will be published live. Honestly, I haven’t seen this kind of format anywhere yet. Curious to hear your thoughts: what part of this story matters most to you, and what would you want to see first from the inside?

@GatsbyCS2 Yes, there have been sales and we do have sponsors. I’ll make a separate post about this later.

@shokeCS What are the revenues then? Any players sold? Revenue from sponsors?

The team promotes our website, and our branding is part of the team’s name. The only way to make real money from a team is if it’s consistently in the world’s top 15 and regularly attends Tier-1 tournaments. In the CIS, salaries are not as inflated as in Europe, which makes day-to-day operations easier, but sponsors also pay less. At the moment, the team is not profitable. Qualifying for the upcoming Major could make this possible, but realistically, the chances are still low.

@shokeCS Does it work? Like are you turning a profit with all of this?

@shokeCS Salary 500k - let's say 400k out of that for players. 200k per year. 40k per player. Around 3,5k USD monthly salary?

@CsNeok Honestly, we made way too many jerseys for giveaways. Around 500 total. About half sold, the rest went to giveaways

8) Make way for more Tier-2 and Tier-3 events Currently, only CCT hosts VRS events for Tier-2 teams. So, any team that drops below top-100, is left with only hard open qualifiers. Valve need to make a way for smaller tournaments with top-100 — top-200 teams.

7.2) It's doesn't make any sense, because the whole purpose of ESL's system was to get to the Pro League, starting from Open. There's no real reason to tryhard in Advanced anymore, because it won't get you further.
