@shaaaaaaaaaarks @9ersfans we need to address development issue directly. our draft capital is thin, our assets are not that valuable unless you want to trade prospects & young forwards. development will always bite you back. does Grier have wrong people employed? Is there bias in how to develop players?

Very interesting to single out Mukh. Bigger question is why aren’t defensemen developing in the org? From the AHL on up, who’s really developed under McCarthy & Warso the past 4 years?

@Sheng_Peng Houda is responsible for our dmen's development. He is all about PK, not focused on puck moving & transitions. It makes sense that someone like Mukh will not develop under him. He does not rate offensive skills and puck-carrying. You can see the problem in our system.

@Sheng_Peng I see the pattern here and I worry for our prospects who will come over this or next year and have their wings clipped because our development is trash. We can't develop defensemen and we are stagnating the development of our forwards.

never seen Martin St. Louis bench or scratch his young players when they were in the development phase. His philosophy is to let them play & learn on their mistakes. The question is whether our coaching staff is bringing out their best in youth or stunting their growth?

prior 2022, sharks were considered one of the worst teams development wise. I see nothing much has changed. They are ruining players and trying to pin blame on them when its coaching issue. Maybe enough overhaul was not done.

@bestofteal both are developing and they cant hinder each other, misa might lose confidence in reading his play if smith cant do anything with puck. this new line give smith chance to be danger on his own and drive play. idk if it will work, but we gotta try and see.

@silvercloud303 smith is also still developing this is only his second year?😭 yeah he hasn’t played his best lately but how is the solution to just not try him out with someone like misa’s line especially when we know him and eky have at least some chemistry

they are not building dynasty if they hover around WC spot and draft outside top10. I know it is thin line to walk because u cant break players spirit and they are not too bad to organically tank, but being in the middle and epitome of "not good but not bad" is the worst fate
