NEW: Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent SCHOOLED Sen. Warnock (D-GA) during a heated exchange on Trump's tariffs and manufacturing.
Warnock tried to trap him right away: "Has there been a manufacturing boom?"
Bessent, not hesitating for a second: "We are at the beginning of a manufacturing boom... factory groundbreakings are happening."
Warnock kept bringing up a WSJ article that said there have been 72k jobs lost since Liberation Day tariffs, but Bessent FIRED BACK:
WSJ isn't the "Main Street Journal" and cares more about Wall Street than Main Street.
Warnock WHINED about small businesses and "higher costs," leading to Bessent pointing to the fact that small business confidence is up BIGLY + full expensing in the big beautiful bill.
This exchange boils down to classic Dem fear mongering vs. reality:
Tariffs are bringing factories back, but it's not instant. Nobody can snap their fingers and build everything overnight (except for God).
Bessent kept his cool while Warnock showcased his terminal case of TDS.

@ofctimallen Am doing the same thing for the first time in my life this year. Started the Bible Recap on 1/1 and have not missed a day yet. Great experience!
Finished the entire Bible it’s been a 13 month word by word page by page no skimming journey. Humbled, enlightened and amazed at what I read and what I learned. I will rest and meditate on so much. I will begin it again.
Watching all these rivalries games on tv and every team has a lot of former stars/players on the sideline for pregame. Wonder why we don’t do anything like that ? It’s a big game and the former players would love to come back. USC doesn’t do much in that category. Go Gcocks
