in some way the easy asymmetric plays are gone, the meta shifted from outsized risk = outsized reward to information, edge, and attention arbitrage
retail still treats this as a casino, but the pros treat it as a data war between algos, insiders, and attention engineers
there’s still alpha, but it’s thinly sliced and requires real operational edge: farming early, narrative anticipation, or direct exposure to protocol flows
