@tbyzuyeon He stares at it. Slowly, he picks it up, his hand trembles violently. He presses the gun against his chest. "Why forgive me? Why make it easy when I deserve the worst? I ruined everything, and now even that's taken from me." He murmured.

Their eyes meet. Vronsky's face is filled with shame. Karenin's face carries something far more complicated pain that has already passed through anger and arrived somewhere quieter. Silence fills the room. (@tbyzuyeon)

Karenin stops in front of Vronsky. For a long moment, he studies the man who stole the love of his wife. Then Karenin gently reaches forward, he takes Vronsky's wrists and lowers his hands from his face. The gesture is calm but unavoidable. Now Vronsky must look at him.
