This is Miriam Lancaster. She went to an ER in Canada for pain. Not dying. Not terminal. In pain. What she was offered wasn’t treatment. They offered her MAID. Her injury? A non-life-threatening sacral fracture. Read that again. She later said something that should stop everyone cold: When you reach a certain age in Canada, this becomes the conversation. She wasn’t ready to die. She wanted to live. And she did. She healed. She traveled. She continued her life. That’s the part people need to understand. This wasn’t mercy. This was introduced before the fight was even finished. And if you think this stays contained to one country, you’re not paying attention.

I think a lot of women struggle mentally when they live with a man because home stops feeling like a place to relax. Instead of being a space where you can fully be yourself, it becomes another place where you still have to “perform” and be put together all the time. There’s no break, no space to just be messy, tired, or off.

My mom got mad when I told her I would rather live on my own that keep paying her $600 a month in rent. I'm 25 years old and have been paying $60 a week in rent to my parents for a while now. I recently landed a decent paying job and this morning, I received a message from my mom telling me that from now on, the rent would be $150 per week. I text her back, saying I would rather live elsewhere. I pay for my own food and I'm not willing to pay $150 per week just for a room to sleep in at my own mothers house. With that kind if money, I could rent a small apartment or even split the rent with a friend for less.

@lance_corporate @shivmalik Or we bought a fixer-upper in a nice neighborhood. But somehow younger generations like to tell us how we did it rather than listen to how we did it.

@shivmalik The boomers will argue that they “bought a house they could afford.” Maybe true, but that was back when you could buy in an affordable neighborhood and be surrounded by other young families of modest means with lots of kids instead of crack dealers and Tren De Aragua members

Dear boomers, can you afford to buy the house you live in currently with the wage you used to earn before you retired? If you can’t, then that’s the whole housing problem in a nutshell. It really is that simple to understand.

@shivmalik @douglist56 In the last 20-30 years something major changed in budgeting. It was buy a house for 25% or less of your take-home. Then it was 33% of your take-home. I think too many are going for 33% of income. That requires two incomes and no losing a job for any reason.

@mitchellvii Simple. By the time we're seniors we have the instructions for all prescriptions memorized. BUT, never ask us what we did with the keys.

Why do they write the instructions on the side of a prescription medicine bottle so small that no senior citizen could possibly read them?

@Itx_judith I'm for them being in the courts and having no need to mask up. Then again, there are so many arrogant people who are clueless enough to dox them, so keep the masks.

@London_W4 If you had a choice between that and one of our more famous sculptures in Philly, which would you take? And truthfully, I'd love you to take them all. 😉

Ok, I admit that I’m not a sculptor and have never even tried to sculpt anything, but I can bet that my first attempt would be better than this giant orange and yellow thing near Paddington Station. I admire whoever did it though, as someone paid loads for it. Genius.

@ImMeme0 continues to expose some mind-blowing hatred from the left. Here's Providence Mayor Brett Smiley. He's demanding the removal of the mural honoring slain Iryna Zarutska. The far-left activist claims the mural “has not brought us closer together as a community and has been quite divisive, and even a little bit ugly in terms of the online commentary.” REPOST and EXPOSE him! #thinblueline #Lawenforcement

@ibdgirl76 I'm a 69 year old, 5'9.5" woman in pain. Warning to doctors who won't help us: * We aren't necessarily "little." * We aren't necessarily ladies." * We aren't our grandmother's era either. SO TELLING ME TO SIT DOWN AND BE QUIET WILL WORK RIGHT AFTER I WIN MISS AMERICA! 😡

The vast majority of people who reach out to us after they lost their Rx opioid and/or their prescriber, are women over 65 years old. The highest risk group of addiction and OD are men ages 18-25. So this country is taking the lowest risk group and putting them at extreme risk. Sure, makes sense.

@spauldingtbear There’s always going to be uncertainty in medicine. But that shouldn’t turn into default suspicion of the person in front of you.

I had a recent conversation with an RN I’m friends with, newly licensed. I asked her: Are new doctors and nurses being trained to assume every ER patient, regardless of age, is drug-seeking first? She didn’t hesitate. She said yes. Don’t shoot the messenger. Wouldn’t matter. I still wouldn’t get pain relief.

@VinoNStrosGal Mom got cancer in her neck. It would kill her "in 3 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, who knows?" She moved in with her mom, had us all staying with her brothers, and started chemo. A school year passed, and she went from 163 to 75 pounds. Still walked to the bathroom before she died.

If this reaches your timeline, don’t scroll past it. In Canada, MAID, Medical Assistance in Dying, and in the United States, “Death with Dignity” laws, already approved in multiple states, all exist under the idea of “choice” and “dignity.” In Canada, Kiano Vafaeian, 26, living with diabetes and depression, was approved to die in 2025, despite his family trying to stop it. In Spain, Noelia Castillo Ramos, 25, paralyzed after trauma, was approved to die in 2026. In the Netherlands, Lauren Hoeve, 28, bedbound with ME/CFS, autism, and chronic pain, was approved to die in 2024. Also in the Netherlands, Zoraya ter Beek, 29, was approved based on psychiatric suffering alone. And that’s where it ended. Not because suffering disappeared. Not because a cure was found. Not because they got their lives back. Because the system reached a point where it accepted the end of it. This isn’t about one country. This isn’t about one case. It’s about what happens when the people who are supposed to help you live… become the ones who approve your death. Sit with that.

Marriages would go a lot better if women listened to their husbands as well as they would listen to a manager. If this idea irks you, you are a feminist, not a Christian.
