🔴The more I watch Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany, the more convinced I am that Manchester United made the right decision not to appoint him.
Not because Nagelsmann isn’t an elite coach he is.
But because managing a national team and rebuilding one of the world’s biggest clubs require different skill sets.
Germany have shown flashes of excellent football under Nagelsmann: aggressive pressing, positional rotations and clear attacking ideas. Yet they’ve also looked vulnerable without the ball, inconsistent against top opposition and will still lack the control expected of a genuine tournament favourite. It was evident against Ecuador
At United, those same tactical demands would’ve been magnified.
The Premier League offers little time on the training ground. Implementing a complex positional system while overhauling recruitment, managing egos, navigating relentless media scrutiny and delivering immediate results is arguably the toughest job in club football.
Nagelsmann may still become one of Europe’s defining coaches, but timing matters as much as talent.
United didn’t just need a brilliant tactician, they needed someone whose methods matched the club’s reality. Now Carrick is at the will. 🔴

Arsenal sent a £55m proposal to Newcastle - rejected. Newcastle have no intention to accept and told Arsenal + the player’s agents they don’t want to entertain any bid or NEGOTIATE. They want to keep Bruno.
However, Arsenal have informed the player’s camp and are ready to return with a new, improved proposal.
