In a disturbing case, a man from Vasai, identified as Hrishikesh Vaidya, has been accused of sexually assaulting a married woman by exploiting her religious faith. The victim said she met him on Facebook in 2023, where he slowly gained her trust using spiritual claims. According to the complaint, during a meeting in Pune in December 2023, he allegedly told her, “I am Lord Shankar and you are Parvati,” before taking her to a lodge in the Manjari area. There, he is accused of drugging and assaulting her. He also allegedly took obscene photos without her consent and used them to blackmail her. The case has come to light now, reportedly because of continued threats and blackmail.
