The @londonbusmuseum turned Route 38 into a living archive today, sending RTL554, RT1, RM1, a strong RT and RM contingent, Ipswich 9 and Titan T961 between Victoria and Clapton Pond. A refined spectacle throughout. Great to see @MarcJF241.

@john_sc01 @hoodii30 Don’t live in the UK either. Sunset at 4, constant grey clouds so you don’t see the sun during the day. No snow, just rain and more rain. Heating bills that make a mortgage look cheap. Potholes big enough they have their own visitor centre.

@every_station The London Way Cafe in Hull station is another one I’d recommend. Banging fry ups!
Castle Cary used to have the Butty Box just at the station entrance which was fantastic. Sadly it left in lockdown and never came back 😭

One thing I love when travelling is a good old fry up!
I want to create a map with a list of station cafes, or cafes within 10-15 mins of a station, that I should visit during my future travels. Get your suggestions into the replies.

2025 has been and gone. Well, the glow up has started! Mental health on the mend, a solid relationship and building foundations to moving out. First proper cons with @IkaFoxxo as well as another great holiday! Looking forwards to 2026 to do more and enjoy more!

@DownOnTheStour Specifically the GWR 80x units. Uncomfortable seating, harsh lighting, awful timekeeping on diesel with rubbish engines. No buffet car, first class a shadow of what it was on the HSTs.

Question Twitter! What train class do you actively dislike❓
For me it's 150s. Cramped, Horrid seating layouts, Ugly design and well past their sell by date. But for some reason they're adored by some enthusiasts 🤢

Today I travelled home from Glasgow. #StormAmy indeed made this a bit challenging to say the least!
I was thinking: Should the rail industry be more resilient to weather related issues now?
Obviously safety is key, but is there a way to be safe, but keep the trains running?

Literally woke up at 5:15am, waiting at Barking just for it to get later and later… eventually it showed up with the worst sounding wheel flats I’ve heard, stopped briefly then got shunted into the sidings and we learned it was cancelled.

I may vehemently dislike the 4TC, but that, that is horrific. And I feel for all the passengers who've had the charter basically canned on the day, as well as the tour company! 😞
