Push back against the modern idea that sincerity means emotional intensity or "feeling it really hard." Ground this in Proclus' insistence that theurgy without philosophy is blind and philosophy without theurgy is impotent. Sincerity in the ancient sense means disciplined actions: daily meditation, consistent study, regular ritual, ongoing purification.
Diogenes didn't feel sincere one afternoon and call it done. Marcus Aurelius practiced Ataraxia while governing an empire, day after day. The Zevist framework of astrology, meditation, energy work, study, and ritual isn't a menu you pick from based on mood. It builds sincerity into the structure of your life. Connect to Plato's περιαγωγή (Republic 518c–d): the turning of the whole soul isn't a moment of inspiration, it's a reorientation that takes everything you have, repeated until it holds.
English

Proclus' hierarchy of causation explains why. The soul that identifies with externals: with how things look, with performance, with social approval, operates at the level of Φύσις and Ὕλη, where Ἀνάγκη (Necessity) and Εἱμαρμένη (Fate) govern mechanically. Y
You stay locked in karmic loops precisely because you're performing instead of transforming. As Proclus wrote: "The soul in its descent into generation is governed by fate, but in its ascent it is led by Providence" (Commentary on the Timaeus I, 207 Diehl). Providence doesn't respond to theater. It responds to genuine ascent.
The Five Levels of Divine Theophany from the Temple of Zeus confirm this. At Level 1 (Psychic), the Gods appear through raw, unfiltered experience: a surge of heat, a wave of emotion, a dream. No performance involved. At Level 5 (Hypercosmic), individual psychology dissolves entirely. The ego doesn't merely encounter the God, it's in the God's reality by Its reality.. At both extremes, sincerity is the only currency that works.

@GabrielePics532 Thank you. Nature and science already gives us 99.9% answers, we only need to listen and observe.

@squid_captains Excellent connections made here, the science is truly complimentary to the spiritual practices if we only have the information you provided!

Psychology, Mental Awareness, and Healthy Living Through Meditation Thread
Many often begin here, exhausted by modern mundanity: scattered thoughts, chronic anxiety, a body weighed down by stress that no material goal can outrun. This is Pathesis in full: the disease of inaction, the slumber of consciousness, where the mind itself drifts without direction.

@SonOfEuropa_ Hello! Beginners can start with foundation meditation and the awareness section. Directing energy, cleansing and creating your aura of protection are the true tested basics. There is more information here: templeofzeus.org/Aware.php

@squid_captains What is a good practice for beginners? Complete novice.

The ancients understood this hierarchy with absolute clarity. Awareness training came first: observation of breath, body, each sense isolated and sharpened, until the perceptual foundation was solid. The modern fixation on "raising your vibration" while ignoring the lower centers has produced exactly this pathology at scale: activated upper faculties with no root, no grounding, no earth.
Question 2: What is all of this for? The therapeutic model says reduction of symptoms. The wellness model says optimization of performance. Both stop at simple reasonings. The actual goal is the materialization of what the ancients called the Higher Self: the complete, unified expression of everything you are capable of being, mind, emotion, body, soul, and spirit, acting from aligned will. Will... will?
Is this Higher Self, this "Aligned Will" waiting above you like grace from an indifferent heaven? No, because it is not given.
